Tyrol is one of the most beautiful wedding regions in the German-speaking world – and for good reason. Mountain panoramas, crystal-clear alpine lakes, rustic mountain huts, and elegant mountain hotels offer the perfect backdrop for every style. As a wedding videographer who regularly films in Tyrol, I have some firm favorites.
Alpine huts with character
Alpine huts are at the heart of Tyrolean wedding culture. Wood, stone, open fireplaces, and sweeping mountain views create an atmosphere no event venue in the city can match. Particularly recommended: the Jezz Alm in Ellmau near the Wilder Kaiser, and the Stöttlalm on the Mieminger Plateau with its stunning lake right outside.
Mountain hotels & classic venues
Those seeking a more elegant setting will find excellent options in Tyrol as well. From the Großglockner area to the Zillertal, there are venues with their own unique charm, personal service, and spectacular mountain views. Many offer exclusive bookings so the day truly matches your vision.

A ceremony venue right by the water has something truly special. Lake Achensee, the Hechtsee near Kufstein, or the small mountain lake at the Stöttlalm – water in the background gives every film its own depth. The morning light glancing off the water is one of the most beautiful things a videographer can capture.
