Wedding Videographer Zillertal
Wedding Videographer Zillertal – Your wedding film between alpine meadows and glaciers
“The Zillertal is 40 minutes from my home in Innsbruck. I know the alpine pastures, the light, and the best locations in the valley. The one thing I don't know yet is your story. Let's tell it together.”
Wedding films from the Zillertal: alpine, cinematic, authentic
The Zillertal is one of the most impressive valleys in the Alps and just 40 minutes from my home in Innsbruck. From Strass im Zillertal all the way up to Hintertux, this valley offers everything that makes a wedding film unforgettable in a compact space: steep rock faces, lush alpine meadows, traditional wooden houses, and the glaciers of the Tux main ridge in the background. As a wedding videographer, I have known the Zillertal for years and work here regularly.
What makes the Zillertal so special as a wedding backdrop is the contrast between the valley floor and the high mountains. Morning getting ready at a guesthouse in Zell am Ziller with views of blooming meadows, afternoon ceremony on an alpine pasture above 2,000 metres, evening celebration in the warm light of a Tyrolean parlour. Within just a few hundred metres of altitude, the landscape changes completely. For a wedding film, that is invaluable because each part of the day gets its own visual language.
I work in a documentary and cinematic style. That means no staged scenes, no re-enacting the vows, no directing. I accompany your day as it happens and capture the real moments. With professional equipment and a drone, I use the mountain scenery of the Zillertal deliberately for footage you can only get here. The expanse of the alpine meadows from the air, the play of light and shadow on the rock faces, the stillness before the ceremony.
The light in the Zillertal has its own rhythm. Due to the north-south orientation of the valley, the sun moves slowly over the peaks in summer, creating a warm, golden light in the evening that bathes the meadows and wooden facades in a very special atmosphere. In autumn, when the Föhn wind clears the air, the mountains feel close enough to touch. I know these light moods and plan the schedule of your shoot day accordingly, so the best moments happen in the best light.
For couples coming from further afield to plan a destination wedding in the Zillertal, I am more than just a videographer. I know the venues personally, can recommend photographers, florists, and planners, and help with day-of planning from a film production perspective. The Zillertal is perfectly suited for international weddings: the journey via Innsbruck is straightforward, the local infrastructure is good, and the scenery speaks for itself.
Whether you celebrate in Mayrhofen, at a mountain hut in the Hochzillertal, or at a traditional venue in Fügen, I will be there. No rush, no posing, just real. Your wedding film should feel like an honest memory of the day, not a commercial. That is exactly what I aim for, at every wedding in the Zillertal.

During peak season from May to October, I recommend inquiring at least 8 to 12 months ahead. The Zillertal is a popular wedding region, and Saturdays in summer are booked quickly. For weekday weddings or off-season dates, shorter notice is possible.
Yes, the Zillertal offers numerous mountain huts and alpine pastures that are suitable for weddings. From the Kristallhütte at 2,147 metres to smaller alpine huts in the Hochzillertal, there are many options. I know the locations and can advise you on planning from a film production perspective.
Rain and clouds can actually create wonderful film moments. The soft light on overcast days is often more beautiful than direct sunlight. Many venues in the Zillertal also have covered areas or beautiful indoor spaces as alternatives. We always discuss a Plan B beforehand.
Delivery time depends on the package: the Cinema package takes 3 to 5 weeks, the Story package 4 to 6 weeks, and the Moments package 6 to 8 weeks. If you need a social media teaser sooner, I also offer a same-day teaser as an add-on.
Absolutely. I regularly work throughout all of Tyrol, from Innsbruck to the Ötztal and Achensee. I also love covering weddings in Salzburg, Vienna, or South Tyrol. You'll find more on my regional pages.
