Wedding Videographer Innsbruck
Wedding Videographer Innsbruck – Your wedding film, right on your doorstep
“I live and work in Innsbruck. I know your venue, I know the light, I know the mountains. The one thing I don't know yet is your story. Let's tell it together.”
Wedding films from Innsbruck: local, cinematic, personal
Innsbruck is one of Austria's most beautiful cities for weddings, and my home. The city between the Nordkette and the Inn river offers a unique backdrop: a historic old town, elegant event venues, and surrounding alpine huts and mountain lakes just minutes away. As a wedding videographer based here, I bring an advantage no out-of-town filmmaker can match: I know every corner of this city.
Wedding film and wedding video in Innsbruck isn't just a job to me. I accompany your day from beginning to end, from getting ready to the final embrace on the dance floor. With professional equipment, a drone, and the instinct for the moment that really matters. The result isn't a generic wedding film, it's yours.
Whether a civil ceremony in the historic town hall, a free ceremony on an alm above the city, or a celebration in the Inn valley with mountain views: I'll be there. No stress, no posing, just real.
What makes Innsbruck special as a wedding city is the contrast: urban elegance meets alpine wilderness. Morning getting ready in a boutique hotel in the old town, afternoon ceremony with views of the Nordkette, evening celebration under open skies in the Inn valley. Within just a few kilometres the backdrop changes completely, and that is exactly what makes wedding films here so extraordinary.
The light in Innsbruck has its own character. In summer, the evening sun falls over the Nordkette and bathes the city in warm, golden light. In autumn, the Föhn wind brings a clarity that makes the mountains feel close enough to touch. In winter, the snow reflects the light and creates a quiet, unique atmosphere. As a videographer who lives here, I know these light moods and plan your shoot day accordingly.
Many couples who get married in Innsbruck come from elsewhere. For international couples planning a destination wedding in the Alps, I serve not only as a videographer but also as a local contact. I know the venues personally, can recommend photographers, florists, and planners, and am happy to help with day-of timeline planning from a film production perspective.
My approach is both documentary and cinematic. I work with professional equipment and value natural colours, steady camera work, and authentic moments. No staged re-enactments of the ceremony, no artificial posing. Your film should feel like a genuine memory, not a commercial.

Popular Wedding Venues
The most beautiful wedding venues in and around Innsbruck
Schloss Ambras
Renaissance castle above Innsbruck with an expansive park and panoramic views over the city. Ceremonies take place in the historic Spanish Hall or the castle gardens.
The Spanish Hall offers unique natural light through its tall windows. The gardens are ideal for emotional couple shots with a mountain backdrop.
Seegrube & Nordkette
At over 1,900 metres altitude, just 20 minutes from the city centre. The Nordkette cable cars bring you and your guests straight from the city to the mountain.
The alpine panorama at this altitude is hard to beat on film. Especially at sunset, the footage here looks like it belongs in a feature film.
ADLERS Lifestyle Hotel
Design hotel in the heart of Innsbruck with a rooftop terrace and views over the old town. Popular for stylish, urban weddings with alpine flair.
The rooftop terrace offers a 360-degree view over Innsbruck. Perfect for getting-ready scenes and intimate celebrations in a modern setting.
Natterer See
Idyllic mountain lake on Innsbruck's southern outskirts, surrounded by forest and meadows. Free ceremonies right at the lakeshore are possible here.
The reflection of the mountains in the lake and the soft light filtering through the trees create a romantic, natural film setting.
Gasthof Stangl (Vomp/Inn Valley)
Traditional Tyrolean inn in the Inn Valley with a large garden, its own chapel, and views of the Karwendel range. Ideal for weddings with Tyrolean charm.
The combination of rustic architecture, garden celebration, and Karwendel panorama gives the wedding film an authentically alpine character.
Schloss Büchsenhausen
17th-century castle above Innsbruck overlooking the entire Inn Valley. An exclusive wedding venue for smaller gatherings.
The elevated position offers dramatic wide-angle shots across the city. Inside, historic rooms create an intimate, elegant atmosphere.

During peak season from May to October, I recommend inquiring at least 8 to 12 months ahead. Popular Saturdays in the summer months are often booked quickly. For weekday weddings or off-season dates, shorter notice is possible.
Rain and clouds can actually create wonderful film moments. The soft light on overcast days is often more beautiful than direct sunlight. I also know plenty of covered and indoor locations in Innsbruck that work as alternatives. We always discuss a Plan B beforehand.
Depending on the package, I accompany you for 6 to 12 hours, from getting ready to the party. I work unobtrusively and in a documentary style. Before the wedding, we meet for a personal consultation so I'm a familiar face on the day.
Delivery time depends on the package: the Cinema package takes 3 to 5 weeks, the Story package 4 to 6 weeks, and the Moments package 6 to 8 weeks. If you need a social media teaser sooner, I also offer a same-day teaser as an add-on.
Absolutely. I regularly work throughout all of Tyrol, from Kitzbühel to the Zillertal and Ötztal valleys. I also love covering weddings in Salzburg, Vienna, or South Tyrol. You'll find more on my regional pages.
