Wedding Videographer South Tyrol – Between Dolomites and Vineyards

South Tyrol is a second home to me. The Dolomites, the vineyards, the light. Magic happens here, and I capture it.

Wedding films in South Tyrol: alpine drama, Mediterranean flair

South Tyrol is one of Europe's most popular wedding destinations, and for good reason. Wineries overlooking the Dolomites, rustic mountain huts, elegant hotels in Bolzano and Merano, or a free ceremony amidst the Tre Cime: South Tyrol offers the perfect backdrop for every style.

As a Tyrolean, I'm quickly on the ground in South Tyrol. The drive over the Brenner Pass is no big deal for me, but for your film it makes an enormous difference. I bring an understanding of alpine landscapes and the special light of the region.

Whether a vineyard wedding with sunset over the vines, a mountain hut in the Dolomites, or an elegant wedding in a historic residence: I love filming in South Tyrol and look forward to hearing from you.

What sets South Tyrol apart from other Alpine regions is the fusion of alpine and Mediterranean. Here, grapevines stand next to three-thousand-metre peaks, chestnut forests give way to glacier views. These contrasts are incredibly compelling on film and give your wedding film a visual language you will find nowhere else.

South Tyrol is a region of culinary culture. The excellent cuisine, the vineyards, and the relaxed way of life are also reflected in how people get married here: stylish yet relaxed. Capturing this atmosphere is a pleasure because it gives the film a natural warmth that does not need to be staged.

For international couples planning a destination wedding, South Tyrol is ideal. The region is well connected, offers first-class infrastructure, and has a vibrant wedding industry with experienced planners, florists, and venues. As a videographer who knows this border region well, I am the ideal companion for your day.

The Dolomites deserve special mention. When the sun sets behind the pale rock pinnacles and the Alpenglow bathes the mountains in pink and gold, film moments emerge that look almost surreal. I plan shoots in the Dolomites so that exactly these moments become part of your film.

Popular Wedding Venues

The most beautiful wedding venues in South Tyrol

Schloss Maretsch (Bolzano)

Medieval castle in the heart of Bolzano, surrounded by vineyards and with views of the surrounding mountains. Ceremonies in the courtyard or in the fresco-adorned halls.

The vineyards right at the castle and the medieval architecture create a film setting with enormous depth. The evening light over Bolzano is particularly beautiful from here.

Kränzelhof (Tscherms near Merano)

Winery and art park with seven gardens, modern architecture, and vineyards. A place that unites art, nature, and indulgence. Perfect for stylish, unconventional weddings.

The seven gardens offer seven different film settings in one location. The combination of modern art and vineyard landscape is visually unique.

Castel Fragsburg (Merano)

Romantic Relais & Chateaux hotel above Merano with breathtaking views over the Adige Valley. Exclusive, intimate, and surrounded by nature.

The elevated position offers panoramic shots across the entire Adige Valley. The intimate size of the hotel ensures a personal, calm film atmosphere.

Pragser Wildsee (Lago di Braies)

One of the most famous mountain lakes in the Dolomites with turquoise water and dramatic rock scenery. A dream location for elopements and intimate ceremonies.

The dramatic rock scenery and luminous water produce images that are almost surreally beautiful. Early morning, when the lake is still calm, yields the best footage.

Weingut Alois Lageder (Margreid)

Biodynamic winery in southern South Tyrol with modern architecture, a historic manor house, and expansive vineyards. Weddings here combine sustainability with elegance.

The combination of old and new architecture amidst the vineyards gives the film a modern, stylish character with substance.

Vigilius Mountain Resort (Lana)

Design hotel reachable only by cable car at 1,500 metres above Merano. Car-free tranquillity, panoramic views, and purist design by Matteo Thun.

The seclusion and cable car arrival give the wedding film a special story even before the ceremony. The purist design contrasts wonderfully with the alpine nature.

South Tyrol combines alpine flair with a Mediterranean lifestyle. Vineyards, the Dolomites, excellent cuisine, and a mild climate make the region unique. Add to that the bilingual culture, which is particularly attractive for international couples.
